A nice turn-out for CJ Designs Tech Weekend IV

Craig, from CJ Designs,  hosted his annual Tech Weekend last month and we had a great turnout and a full schedule of events.  New this year was “Big Bike Trials Training” with Diesel Joe as the instructor.  It consisted of low speed, tight, technical bike handling skills training to help the riders get comfortable handling a big bike in difficult situations.  Rock crawling, log jumping, off-camber hill crossing and low speed tight terrain was all on the menu along with Craig’s usual tech training skills on how to service and repair a KTM 950 Adventure bike.

Looks like fun, right?   Well, keep your eyes open for the event next year.  It’s normally held in September and signup will begin in the summer.

We are looking at incorporating this type of event into our dual-sport adventure rides, where you would come for a day of bike prep and rider training and then go on a 4 day dual sport ride.  This would give you a day to plan your gear needs, bike prep (tires, chains, sprockets, luggage, riding gear, etc.) and brush up on some skills training in prep of a great ride.  Sound like a good idea?  Would you be interested?  Let us know – leave some comments here…
